Qualifications

  • Experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 members.
  • Extensive background in Backend development (Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming).
  • Strong commitment to promoting company values within the team.
  • Proven track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
  • Experience in designing or adopting automation workflows and improving them iteratively.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspire and instill confidence in team members.
  • Understanding of team dynamics and a focus on diversity, equality, and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in automation and AI fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 3-5 engineers, spending 30% of time on management tasks.
  • Actively participate in product development alongside the team.
  • Involved in hiring and onboarding new engineers.
  • Provide continuous feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Redesign engineering workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Propose and implement agentic workflows to improve delivery outcomes.
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of results through verification loops.
