Job summary

This role involves leading multiple engineering teams within a Product & Engineering organization, focusing on delivery, technical health, and team development. The position emphasizes the integration of AI into engineering practices and requires hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in engineering management, particularly with multi-team setups.
• Proven ability to address ambiguous, systemic issues and drive teams toward concrete outcomes.
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills, especially with Product teams, influencing roadmap decisions.
• Experience in developing engineering managers.
• Sufficient technical knowledge to engage in architecture and design discussions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery predictability from roadmap input through execution.
• Maintain the technical health of systems, managing technical debt and scaling risks.
• Develop managers and engineers within the group to enhance their leadership skills.
• Transform vague problems into actionable plans and diagnose root causes of team performance issues.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders about team commitments and trade-offs.
• Connect team objectives to broader company goals and priorities.

Skills

• Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and collaborate across teams.
• Technical understanding to participate in design discussions and assess technical decisions.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
