Job summary

This role is focused on leading Operations Strategic Planning within Technical Operations, responsible for establishing an integrated planning capability across the organization. The position involves driving data-driven decision-making and proactive risk management within a complex manufacturing network.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD or MBA) in life sciences, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
  • 12–15+ years of experience in TechOps, CMC, Supply Chain, or strategic planning in the biotech/pharma sector.
  • Proven experience with Integrated Business Planning (IBP), S&OP, capacity planning, or network strategy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Executive presence and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Define and establish Operations Strategic Planning across TechOps, ensuring alignment with existing processes.
  • Integrate portfolio demand, development timelines, manufacturing readiness, supply, and quality into a cohesive strategic view.
  • Own strategic capacity and network planning, aligning with portfolio needs.
  • Lead long-term scenario planning and decision support, facilitating trade-offs across products and resources.
  • Develop and maintain mid- to long-term TechOps strategy and capacity roadmaps.
  • Establish governance and processes across various functions including CMC, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Build tools and dashboards for transparency on risks and system performance.
  • Drive alignment at the TechOps leadership level to ensure planning outputs lead to clear decisions.
  • Identify and mitigate bottlenecks and risks in the external manufacturing network.
  • Support investment prioritization and strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to operate at the intersection of strategy and execution.
  • Experience in driving cross-functional alignment in a matrix organization.

Education

  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD or MBA) in relevant fields.

Tools

  • Familiarity with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and related planning tools.
