Job summary

The role involves leading the Immunization Supply Pillar within the Supply Division, focusing on the procurement and supply of vaccines and related infrastructure to support immunization programs. The Deputy Director will oversee the Vaccine Centre and Energy & Infrastructure Centre, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and organizational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in supply chain management, particularly in the health sector.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing teams and projects.
  • Strong understanding of vaccine procurement and supply policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management oversight across the Vaccine Centre and Energy & Infrastructure Centre.
  • Support country programs with supply policy issues and advisory services.
  • Advise on preparedness and response strategies for vaccine-related emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with UN Financial Rules and Regulations in procurement processes.
  • Develop and coordinate strategies for procurement of immunization supplies.
  • Lead partnerships and coordination with stakeholders involved in the Immunization Agenda 2030.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to analyze and develop market strategies for vaccine supply.

Education

  • Advanced degree in public health, supply chain management, or a related field.

Tools

  • Familiarity with UN procurement systems and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and market research tools.
