Department Manager (Digital Project Management, Virum)

Job summary

The role involves leading the newly established Digital Project Management Department, focusing on delivering digital and AI solutions for pharmaceutical facility design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education in engineering, digital technologies, or a related field (e.g., M.Sc. or B.Sc.).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in people management (team leader, department manager, or project manager).
• Proven experience in managing complex projects or project portfolios, translating strategy into actionable initiatives.
• Experience in establishing or scaling new departments and teams.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or engineering industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of digital project managers and UX designers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous support.
• Translate company strategy into a prioritized portfolio of digital and AI initiatives, ensuring governance and alignment.
• Drive execution excellence by assessing new initiatives and managing project teams across various departments.
• Collaborate with Project Management colleagues in Bangalore, India, and coordinate digital delivery flow with management teams.
