About the role

Job summary

The role involves working with data to enhance forecasting skills in a dynamic supply chain setting. This analytical position requires writing SQL, generating reports, validating forecasts, and understanding how demand planning influences operational decisions.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, or a similar analytical role. Experience in e-commerce, food retail, or FMCG is advantageous, especially with perishable goods.
  • Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Excel, and PowerBI (or Tableau); knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Familiarity with forecasting concepts, including bias and accuracy metrics (e.g., MAPE, WAPE).
  • Curiosity about forecasting in environments with limited historical data and a willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Understanding of demand and supply risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Comfortable using project management tools like JIRA/Confluence.
  • Good communication skills for presenting data to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily data validation and quality assurance across demand data pipelines, ensuring forecast reliability.
  • Develop automated alerts for data quality issues and forecast anomalies.
  • Investigate discrepancies between forecasts and actuals, documenting root causes.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries for demand data extraction and transformation.
  • Assist in developing forecasting models and refining statistical techniques.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and automated reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with forecast engineers and senior analysts to support scalable data pipelines.
  • Utilize AI tools to enhance efficiency in tasks like SQL writing and data summarization.
  • Generate and validate daily and weekly demand plans for European markets.
  • Monitor trends and promotional impacts, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Track forecast performance against operational KPIs and provide insights for improvement.
  • Participate in the weekly S&OP planning cycle, preparing materials for cross-functional meetings.

Education

  • Relevant educational background in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • SQL, Excel, PowerBI (or Tableau), JIRA, Confluence, and AI tools for data analysis.
