Data Scientist (Applied AI, On-site)

Job summary

A Data Scientist is needed to join the Applied AI team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role focuses on leveraging big data to enhance go-to-market efficiency and pricing strategies through AI/ML models.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models for commercial applications.
• Strong technical background with hands-on skills in data preparation, exploration, and modeling.
• Experience in working with large datasets and knowledge of e-commerce data analytics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Data Science projects aimed at improving GTM efficiency and pricing practices, including prediction, ranking, segmentation, and recommendation systems.
• Own, maintain, and deploy production-ready ML/AI models while analyzing data to assess impact.
• Identify new pricing and monetization opportunities based on data insights.
• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into Data Science deliverables.

Skills

• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and modeling.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably GCP or AWS.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning methods.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Education

• Proven technical experience in a Data Science role, preferably in the technology sector or technical consultancy.

Tools

• Familiarity with Google Vertex AI tools, Google BigQuery, BigQuery Pipelines, and Airflow for data engineering and model deployment.
