Job summary

This role involves contributing to a data initiative by building and maintaining core data capabilities, focusing on data connectors that support a global media ecosystem. The position requires strong communication skills and an understanding of marketing data and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in data engineering.
• Familiarity with adtech and martech data.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain data extraction pipelines using AI coding assistants.
• Pre-aggregate data in clean rooms using SQL-dialects as needed.
• Fetch data through REST APIs using Python or Node.js.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate new data sources and translate requirements into code.
• Identify and address technical debt within the data platform.
• Support regional teams in best practices for local datasets.
• Work closely with analysts and data scientists to ensure data connectors function correctly.
• Design and build data governance and quality frameworks.
• Explore new tools and technologies to enhance efficiency.

Skills

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data wrangling.
• Interest in AI coding assistants and prompt engineering.
• Understanding of strongly typed languages and error detection in data processing.
• Experience with modern data ecosystems like Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and testing best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure, and tools like Docker or Terraform.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in data engineering or a related field.
