Data Engineer (Aarhus)

Job summary

This role involves building and maintaining data products and platforms that support data-driven decisions within the retail and e-commerce sector. The position is part of a team focused on transforming merchandising through innovative data solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience in data engineering and familiarity with production data platforms.
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with experience in building data pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS or Azure, and modern data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance scalable data pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure for the Appretio platform.
• Collaborate with merchandisers, data scientists, and engineers to create efficient and reliable data solutions.
• Take ownership of specific areas and gradually assume more senior responsibilities.

Skills

• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Interest in streaming and real-time data technologies like Kafka or Spark Streaming.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
