Data Center Project Manager

Job summary

The Data Center Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects within live data center environments, ensuring adherence to safety, timelines, and operational standards. This role involves collaboration across multiple data center sites and various teams, including operations, engineering, and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project costs remain within budget and adhere to financial guidelines.
• Follow safety and security protocols, reporting any issues immediately.
• Troubleshoot service incidents and escalate as necessary to meet service level agreements.
• Communicate potential customer impacts from events and plan accordingly.
• Proactively manage schedules to avoid conflicts and coordinate customer solutions.
• Maintain relationships with clients and suppliers to meet expectations.
• Suggest risk reduction strategies for maintenance activities.
• Uphold service quality and customer experience standards.
• Promote company culture and values.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with proven industry experience, or relevant college coursework.
• Ability to pass security screenings as required for the role.
• Experience in Critical Environment infrastructures or physical IT infrastructures.
• Technical degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related fields.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Network Certifications.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with data center management tools and infrastructure technologies.
