Data Center Operations Manager

Job summary

The role involves managing teams within data center operations, ensuring the quality installation of server hardware and components, and overseeing complex installations and troubleshooting. The position requires leadership in delivering critical data center initiatives and collaborating with various partners to shape operational strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
• Experience in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily management of data center operations teams.
• Communicate priorities and facilitate operations hand-offs between shifts.
• Collaborate to identify and resolve issues in global computing and network architecture.
• Hire, coach, and develop team members to meet business objectives.
• Implement and promote a safety culture while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Experience in data center environments, including infrastructure building and operation, network and compute architecture, and Linux/Unix system administration.
• Proven ability to lead and enhance Environmental Health and Safety initiatives.
• Experience executing initiatives in a global context.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Tools

• Familiarity with server hardware, Linux clusters, networking components, and data analytics tools.
