Data Analyst

Job summary

This position is a 10-month maternity cover for a Data Analyst role based in Viby J, Aarhus. The successful candidate will be part of a digital transformation initiative, focusing on translating business needs into actionable data insights and analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a data-focused role such as Data Analyst or Business Analyst, ideally in a complex or international setting.
• Strong analytical skills with a background in requirements gathering, data validation, and data mapping.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience in data analysis and validation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams.
• A structured and collaborative approach with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into clear data requirements, user stories, and supporting documentation.
• Identify and validate data sources, source-to-target mappings, and data transformation logic.
• Analyze data using SQL and analytical tools to identify patterns and data quality issues.
• Define and document KPIs, metrics, and business rules to ensure clarity across teams.
• Support Agile delivery activities, including backlog refinement and sprint planning.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in SQL and familiar with analytical tools.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Kafka, and Open Metadata is preferred.
• Knowledge of Python, ServiceNow, Scrum, or Kanban is a plus but not mandatory.

Education

• A relevant Master's degree in IT, Data & Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is expected. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
