Critical Environment Technician (Shift, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves maintaining critical infrastructure in data centers, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. The position requires working shifts, including day and night rotations, across multiple sites within a short distance. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, responding to incidents, and performing maintenance tasks independently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in mission-critical services (e.g., data centers, hospitals, manufacturing).
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an operations specialist in critical environment operations, focusing on areas such as electrical or mechanical systems.
• Regularly inspect facility equipment and grounds for safety and compliance, escalating issues as necessary.
• Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking equipment and maintenance requests.
• Lead incident response teams for abnormal operational conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Develop and follow emergency operating procedures and standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks.
• Perform various types of maintenance and repairs on critical equipment with minimal oversight.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Adhere to safety and security protocols in all operations.
