About the role

Job summary

An independent consultant is sought to conduct a Strategic Learning Review of the Climate Change and Migration Data (CCMD) Programme. The review aims to synthesize lessons learned, assess operational practices, and provide actionable recommendations for future programming in the context of climate change and migration.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in international development and strategic learning.
  • Background in evaluating international cooperation projects.
  • Strong research skills, both qualitative and quantitative.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize learning on the strategic value and relevance of the CCMD Programme.
  • Assess the operationalization of flexible, multiyear funding and adaptive management.
  • Identify lessons related to programme content, partnerships, and geographic engagement.
  • Generate practical recommendations for future programming adjustments.
  • Examine the programme’s contribution to Denmark’s strategic priorities.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills.
  • Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Education

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as international development, social sciences, or a related discipline.

Tools

  • Familiarity with MEAL frameworks and adaptive management practices.
