Job summary

The role involves supervising the commissioning of the latest generation of wind turbines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while working on various offshore sites across Europe and beyond.

Qualifications

  • Technical education in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience in wind turbine generators (WTG).
  • Proficiency in reading electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC).
  • Must pass offshore medical and fitness requirements.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced supervisors and technicians on-site.
  • Oversee WTG completion and start-up processes.
  • Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain wind turbines.
  • Identify, document, and manage deviations during commissioning.
  • Maintain turbines and associated equipment.

Skills

  • Strong focus on HSE, QA/QC, and customer relations.
  • Good process understanding and delegation capabilities.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
  • Hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Resourceful and adaptable in an international work environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, with an expected 180 travel days per year.

Education

  • Technical education in a relevant field (electrical or mechanical).

Tools

  • Familiarity with wind turbine technology and commissioning tools.
