Commissioning Manager

Job summary

The Commissioning Manager will oversee the commissioning process for projects, ensuring quality and efficiency while fostering strong relationships with teams and clients. This role involves site inspections, strategy implementation, and effective communication of project progress.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of UPS systems, switchgear, generators, and critical mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to develop detailed commissioning scripts.
• Experience in project management within Data Centre projects.
• Degree or equivalent experience in project management or construction discipline.

Responsibilities

• Attend key meetings to monitor project progress and collaborate on problem-solving.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality assurance and control during commissioning.
• Develop and implement commissioning strategies and procedures.
• Drive the commissioning process, managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Communicate project updates to partners and management.
• Oversee vendor performance and facilitate meetings with vendor project managers.
• Identify and manage project scopes, timelines, and interdependencies.
• Proactively address issues and work with teams to resolve them.
• Manage client-appointed commissioning teams and support the Data Centre Commissioning Program.

Skills

• Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on teamwork and client engagement.

Education

• Degree in project management or construction discipline, or equivalent experience.

Tools

• Familiarity with project management software and commissioning tools.
