Commercial Sustainability Specialist (Renewable Energy, Copenhagen/Remote)

Job summary

This role focuses on leveraging sustainability as a commercial advantage for customers in Northern & Central Europe, collaborating closely with sales and account teams to enhance market positioning and tender responses.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in environmental sustainability, commercial sustainability, or related fields within a complex, international organization.
• Master's degree in natural sciences, environmental engineering, environmental economics, sustainable business, or a related field.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate sustainability topics into business value and customer messaging.
• Familiarity with EU and UK sustainability policies relevant to the NCE markets.
• Experience in managing complex stakeholder processes involving sales and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Integrate sustainability into tenders and sales dialogues, ensuring all customer-facing materials reflect sustainability leadership.
• Advise sales and account teams on sustainability differentiators and site-specific reporting capabilities.
• Monitor sustainability policy developments in NCE and provide guidance for customer-facing strategies.
• Develop tailored sustainability value propositions for high-priority customers.
• Coordinate with Group Sustainability to ensure consistent and credible external positioning.
