This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing computational engineering problems and creating Python programming tasks for engineering calculations and simulations. Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
  • Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.
  • Strong written English skills (C1+ level).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $50 per hour, depending on their level and pace of contribution, with variations based on project scope and complexity.

  • Design original computational engineering problems that simulate real workflows.
  • Create problems that require Python programming for engineering calculations.
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive and utilize numerical methods.
  • Develop problems based on real research challenges or practical applications.
  • Verify solutions using Python with standard engineering libraries.
  • Document problem statements and provide verified answers.
