Category Manager (Plastics)

Job summary

An experienced Category Manager is sought to oversee the plastics category within a global hearing healthcare organization. This role involves developing and implementing category strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with quality standards in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing, preferably in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with plastics components used in electronic products or high-quality technical devices.
• Strong negotiation skills and a results-oriented approach.
• International experience with the ability to align across diverse teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complex supply chains.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and documentation, such as ISO 13485, MDR, or MDSAP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies focused on supplier development, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Drive initiatives for continuous cost reduction.
