Category Manager (Electro-mechanics)

Job summary

The role involves driving category strategies and managing supplier partnerships focused on electro-mechanical components and assemblies for diagnostic medical devices. The position is integral to ensuring high-quality standards and cost-effectiveness while collaborating with various functions within the organization.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in engineering, supply chain, procurement, business, or a related field.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and/or category management, preferably in manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and documentation, with experience in ISO 13485, MDR, or MDSAP considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies with clear objectives for supplier development, quality, and cost.
• Initiate and drive continuous cost-effectiveness initiatives.
• Negotiate agreements and foster long-term supplier relationships that align with quality and business goals.
• Manage supplier segmentation, performance, and compliance in collaboration with QA/RA.
• Contribute to process improvements, including master data harmonization and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across R&D, Operations, and Procurement.

Education
