Bid/Proposal Engineer (Remote, Flexible)

Job summary

The Bid/Proposal Engineer will assist in the preparation and coordination of quotations and bid activities for system sales projects. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality technical solutions and bid deliverables that meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in proposal engineering, bid coordination, project engineering, or technical sales support.
• Familiarity with system sales, technical quotations, or industrial system solutions is beneficial.
• Background in process industries or industrial systems integration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and coordination of quotation packages in collaboration with the Bid Manager.
• Coordinate technical input and documentation across engineering, sourcing, and sales teams.
• Develop optimized technical and commercial system solutions with Design Engineers.
• Maintain clarification and deviation lists, and review technical descriptions and bid deliverables.
• Ensure timely completion of bid deliverables, aligned with quality standards.
• Facilitate the handover from bid phase to project execution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools and processes within the bid function.

• Detail-oriented and structured approach to documentation and quotation activities.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international environments.

Education

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant engineering discipline.

Work Setup

• Experience with technical documentation, costing tools, ERP/CRM systems, or quotation tools is an advantage.
• Hybrid work model with flexibility to work from home, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 10-20 days per year.
