Job summary

A motivated Automation Engineer is sought to contribute to a dynamic Design & Engineering team focused on developing innovative products in a regulated industry. The role involves hands-on participation throughout the product life cycle, from concept to delivery, while ensuring compliance with customer specifications and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in specifying, designing, testing, and troubleshooting machinery.
• Interest or experience in industrial automation and PLC programming.
• Understanding of PLC programming concepts such as Ladder Logic and Structured Text.
• Familiarity with PLC platforms like Omron or Siemens.
• Ability to work with existing codebases and technical documentation.
• Strong focus on documentation and structured development practices.
• Interest in object-oriented programming and relational databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare, maintain, and deliver well-documented software code.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to ensure alignment with specifications.
• Support production activities including start-up and testing.
• Execute upgrades and modifications at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and support machinery and automation systems.
• Ensure thorough documentation throughout all development stages.
• Participate in cross-regional collaboration as needed.
