Automation Engineer

Job summary

The role involves hands-on development and enhancement of automation solutions for baggage handling systems used in airports globally. You will work with a dedicated team to develop and maintain PLC code, ensuring high performance and reliability of the systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens TIA, STL, and SCL.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming in industrial settings.
• Understanding of hardware integration, I/O nodes, drives, Profinet, and Ethernet communication.
• Eagerness to learn and solve technical challenges collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC code for various modules and elements to ensure optimal solutions.
• Virtually commission and test PLC code at the test center.
• Review layouts and solutions early in the development process to align with standard product offerings.
• Participate in documenting solutions and processes.

Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and structured work approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education

• Relevant technical education or experience in automation engineering or a related field.

Tools

• Siemens TIA Portal, PLC programming tools, and simulation software.
