This part-time (50%) Associate Professorship focuses on bridging biomedical engineering, biology, and human physiology while leading a research group and contributing to the development of a BSc programme in Medicine and Technology. The role involves collaboration with various institutions and hospitals to translate clinical needs into research and innovation.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree or equivalent in Medicine and Technology or biomedical engineering with significant experience in biology and human physiology.
  • Strong record in translational MedTech research and preclinical validation.
  • Experience in educational leadership and development of medical or health-technology education.
  • Proven research experience in technical, medical, and hospital environments, including research management and securing external funding.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a research group, including team building and securing funding.
  • Develop the BSc programme in Medicine and Technology, integrating clinical workflows and device innovation.
  • Build partnerships with clinical, engineering, and industry stakeholders to advance research and MedTech ventures.
