Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (Renewable Energy, Aarhus)

Job summary

This role involves managing complex lifting operations across offshore installations in Northern and Central Europe, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain operational excellence in lifting activities.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in lifting operations and at least 2 years in planning lifting activities.
• Certifications such as IOSH Leading Safely or NEBOSH, CPCS Blue Card (Appointed Person), and ideally Level 5 NVQ for Lifting.
• Familiarity with DNVGL-ST-N001, BS7121 Safe Use of Cranes, and local regulations for lifting duties.
• Proficient in implementing Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and conducting risk assessments.
• Skilled in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and proficient with MS Office and AX.
• Knowledge of inspection, maintenance, and certification requirements for lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all lifting operations for offshore installations in the designated regions.
• Serve as the appointed person and subject matter expert for complex lifting tasks, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
• Develop and implement Safe System of Work (SSoW) for lifting operations, including monitoring and updates.
• Create lifting plans and rigging drawings, maintaining control over lifting activities.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and engineering stakeholders, representing the organization in meetings.
• Evaluate staff competencies and provide necessary training and inductions.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and address cross-functional issues systematically.

• Relevant certifications and qualifications in lifting operations and safety management.
