AI Scientist

Job summary

An AI Scientist is sought to contribute to the development of a clinical data platform focused on enhancing clinical operations. This role involves designing and implementing machine learning models that derive insights from extensive healthcare datasets throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of practical experience in machine learning, data science, or applied AI roles.
• Proficient in Python, with working knowledge of SQL and R.
• Extensive experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Proven ability to build and manage models on large-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark).
• Familiarity with NLP techniques, including text classification and named entity recognition.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and tools like Databricks and Kubernetes.
• Background in healthcare, life sciences, pharma, or clinical research is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to extract insights from clinical and healthcare data, including NLP tasks.
• Build and optimize ML pipelines on large-scale distributed systems using Apache Spark and cloud-native tools.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate ML models into production ETL pipelines.
• Partner with MLOps teams to operationalize models, including monitoring and retraining workflows.
• Evaluate and benchmark model performance and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong collaborative and communication skills, comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to navigate and design solutions around the complexities of large-scale healthcare data.
