Manager, Manufacturing Operational Support (Biotech, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading the operational support function that ensures production readiness in a global biotech setting, focusing on planning, materials coordination, and logistics to facilitate efficient manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, engineering, life sciences, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in biologics API or GMP-regulated manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience in operational or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of planning, logistics, and production support functions.
• Knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Planning & Materials Coordinators and Production Logistics Coordinators.
• Ensure alignment of production plans, materials, and equipment for daily operations.
• Coordinate short-term schedules and manage equipment readiness.
• Handle escalations and collaborate with Engineering and other stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.
• Coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability and ownership.
• Represent the area in audits, inspections, and stakeholder interactions.
