Manager, Manufacturing Operational Support

Job summary

This role involves leading the operational support function for manufacturing in a global biotech setting, ensuring production readiness and efficiency. The manager will oversee a team responsible for planning, materials coordination, and logistics, directly impacting production performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in biotechnology, engineering, life sciences, or a related field
• Over 8 years of experience in biologics API or GMP-regulated manufacturing
• Proven leadership experience in operational or manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of planning, logistics, and production support functions
• Knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and production operations

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Planning & Materials Coordinators and Production Logistics Coordinators
• Ensure alignment of production plans, materials, and equipment for daily operations
• Manage short-term scheduling and equipment readiness
• Handle escalations and collaborate with Engineering and other stakeholders to resolve issues
• Coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability
• Represent the area in audits, inspections, and stakeholder interactions

Education
