Wi-Fi Specialist (On-site)

Job summary

An experienced Wi-Fi specialist is needed to ensure reliable, high-performance wireless connectivity for scanner systems in an R&D environment. This role involves collaboration with various teams to translate user and Wi-Fi requirements into stable setups that function effectively in real customer settings.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi technical standards and performance parameters.
• Basic understanding of Wi-Fi regulatory standards.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise and consumer-grade Wi-Fi setups.
• Proficient in debugging Wi-Fi setups in Windows and preferably Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi modules, antennas, adapters, drivers, and access points.
• Basic programming skills for working with module drivers and diagnostics.
• Understanding of network infrastructure and wireless security.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Debug Wi-Fi performance and connectivity issues across different environments.
• Define and maintain robust Wi-Fi configurations for scanner connectivity.
• Develop and manage a Wi-Fi test lab for validation purposes.
• Enhance tools and processes for diagnosing Wi-Fi issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support across various teams and to customers.
