Job summary

A part-time lecturer position is available for a Global Health course in Nepal, starting from October 2026, with a commitment of 295 hours over three years, potentially extendable.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Global Health or a closely related field preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of the Nepalese health systems and societal structures.
  • Familiarity with the Danish higher education system.
  • Teaching experience in higher education in Denmark is preferred.
  • Fluency in Nepali and English (spoken and written) is desirable.
  • Strong professional network in Nepal to support field-based activities.
  • High adaptability and flexibility for field-based teaching.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills in an interdisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver a two-week field-based Global Health course in Nepal, conducted biannually.
  • Serve as the on-site academic lead and course coordinator, organizing field visits to healthcare institutions.
  • Provide academic and practical support to students, including guidance on internships and clinical placements.
  • Assess student performance and participate in examinations for the course.
  • Co-supervise master’s theses related to Global Health, Medicine, or Public Health.
