Technical Product Manager (Data Platform)

Job summary

The role involves leading the product vision and strategy for a critical data platform within a financial services organization. The Technical Product Manager will collaborate closely with a Staff Architect and Engineering Manager to ensure the platform meets the needs of various stakeholders while maintaining compliance and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to prioritize and manage product requests effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Strong understanding of data governance and GDPR compliance, with experience in operational resilience and data reporting.
• Technical fluency in event-driven architecture and modern data stacks, enabling effective communication with engineering teams.
• Experience in a regulated industry, particularly in financial services, with a focus on compliance as a core responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Define the scope and responsibilities of the data platform, establishing clear service agreements with internal consumers.
• Manage inbound demand and prioritize requests while addressing capacity constraints proactively.
• Oversee data governance and compliance efforts, including GDPR and operational resilience requirements.
• Contribute to the organization’s AI initiatives by ensuring data is accessible and governed appropriately.
• Represent the product in defining problems, setting OKRs, prioritizing stakeholders, and communicating the roadmap.
