Technical Lead (On-site)

Job summary

This position involves leading the technical development of new strategic products in the maritime electronics sector, focusing on transforming early product ideas into functional technology. The role requires a hands-on approach to prototype development and a strong understanding of various technical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience with system build-up, preferably in navigation, sensors, embedded systems, control systems, or maritime electronics.
• Proven track record of taking technical concepts from prototype to production-ready products.
• Familiarity with navigation sensors, motion sensor technology, and sensor fusion.
• Proficient in writing and specifying code for prototypes and validation tools, including AI-assisted development practices.
• Practical understanding of hardware, electronics, mechanics, and real-time system constraints.
• Experience in sensor performance analysis and building test setups.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical development of new products from concept to validated prototype and production.
• Build, code, test, and enhance prototypes, including interfaces and analysis tools.
• Define technical scope, system architecture, and integration principles.
• Collaborate with internal specialists and manage outsourced design and development work.
• Ensure compliance with timing, data quality, and manufacturability requirements.
• Translate regulatory and customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Act as the technical lead during the transition from prototype to production.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
• Ability to make practical design choices and manage technical work effectively.
• Hands-on “player-coach” profile, capable of producing substantial technical work and guiding others.

Education

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Tools

• Proficiency in software development tools, analysis software, and validation tools.
