Job summary

This role involves working as a Student DevOps Engineer within a Site Reliability Engineering team, focusing on enhancing the infrastructure that supports electric vehicle charging. The position offers real-world experience in a fast-paced environment, contributing to sustainable transportation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, with at least one year remaining in studies.
  • Some hands-on experience with Git, scripting, and command line tools. Familiarity with cloud services (AWS), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), or CI/CD processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and utilize the infrastructure stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, GitOps) to automate processes and reduce manual work for engineering teams.
  • Enhance system reliability and performance through monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir).
  • Assist in safe and efficient deployments using GitOps tools (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Terraform).
  • Propose and lead projects that deliver measurable value to the SRE team and broader engineering organization.

Skills

  • Strong interest in building and automating processes.
  • Comfortable using AI-powered tools to enhance productivity.
  • Curious and proactive in problem-solving within a dynamic environment.

Education

  • Enrollment in a relevant degree program (bachelor's or master's).

Tools

  • Core Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, GitOps, Helm, Crossplane.
  • Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Mimir, Tempo.
  • CI/CD & Delivery: GitHub Actions, Cloudflare.
  • AI & Automation Tools: Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Notion AI.
