Student Assistant, Global Sustainability & ESG

Job summary

This role involves supporting the Global Sustainability and ESG team in analyzing product sustainability data and facilitating communication with suppliers and customers. The position is based at the headquarters of an international organization, contributing to the development of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) program and maintaining sustainability documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (second or last year) or a master's degree in environmental engineering, life cycle engineering, or a related field.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of Life Cycle Assessments and sustainable engineering.
• Practical experience with Excel and a willingness to learn new analytical tools and databases.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to simplify complex information.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis of product sustainability data.
• Co-develop the LCA automation framework.
• Facilitate dialogues with suppliers and customers regarding sustainability documentation.
• Support the maintenance of the organization's Scope 3 inventory to meet Net-Zero SBTi targets.

Skills

• Strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of ISO14040/44 standards.
• Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Education

• Enrollment in a relevant degree program (bachelor's or master's level).

Tools

• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with analytical tools and databases.
