Job summary

The Strategic Partnership Director is a senior commercial leader responsible for developing and advancing strategic partnerships within the Biopharma and Biotech sectors. This role involves close collaboration with various internal teams to create partnership strategies and governance frameworks that align with client needs and organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred, or a minimum of 15 years of industry experience in proposal and/or sales roles.
  • Significant experience in CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech, or related healthcare services environments.
  • Proven experience in leading strategic pursuits and enterprise partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of clinical development outsourcing and partnership models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development of partnership pursuits and refresh opportunities.
  • Consult on partnership strategies that align client needs with enterprise capabilities.
  • Design governance frameworks and engagement approaches tailored to client requirements.
  • Facilitate alignment across various stakeholders to ensure cohesive partnership strategies.
  • Lead qualified partnership pursuits from intake through award recommendation.
  • Establish and lead pursuit teams for strategic opportunities.
  • Develop executive-level engagement strategies and partnership narratives.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of CRO outsourcing models and strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to influence senior executives and lead matrixed teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with proposal management and client engagement tools.
