Qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience in backend engineering, particularly with financial, billing, or transactional systems.
• Proven track record in building or maintaining financial platforms, such as payment systems or ERP solutions.
• Expertise in ledger systems and reconciliation mechanisms, ensuring financial correctness.
• Strong grasp of financial concepts like revenue recognition and multi-party money flows.
• Experience in evolving complex production systems without disrupting existing functionalities.
• Hands-on engineering skills for both designing architecture and implementing backend systems.
• Proficient in Python and relational data modeling, preferably with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems, ideally in AWS environments.
• Ability to manage complex financial scenarios, including multi-currency and taxation logic.
