Job summary

Seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a multi-site audio software development team. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end software development for audio pipeline and wireless audio distribution across various devices, collaborating with vendors and global teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams, preferably with international distribution.
  • Track record of building and managing high-performing teams, including hiring and coaching.
  • Hands-on experience in embedded software development for consumer devices.
  • Familiarity with real-time audio/video processing and SoC vendor collaboration.
  • Strong background in embedded Linux or RTOS-based systems, with proficiency in C/C++.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and wireless communication, including Bluetooth/BLE.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of the audio software roadmap, ensuring high-performance audio processing.
  • Oversee development of audio features from concept to rollout across multiple products.
  • Act as a people leader, fostering team culture and providing coaching.
  • Lead transformation initiatives for broad use of agentic development.
  • Collaborate with SoC vendors to define requirements and ensure quality deliveries.
  • Make architectural decisions and manage technical debt.
  • Define and enforce engineering best practices for audio software.
  • Engage with global leaders to align on priorities and deliverables.

Skills

  • Experience with embedded software development and real-time audio processing.
  • Familiarity with AI advancements and their application in engineering workflows.
  • Strong understanding of SoC architectures in consumer electronics.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Tools

  • Proficiency in C/C++ development, embedded Linux, RTOS, and familiarity with audio processing tools.
