Software Engineer (Data & ML Applications, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves developing software applications that leverage data and machine learning to enhance user experiences. You will work within a cross-functional product team, focusing on integrating data pipelines and ML components into production-grade applications.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in building and deploying data-driven software applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python and solid software engineering principles, including testing and CI/CD.
• Experience in creating APIs or backend services that connect with data systems.
• Understanding of application architecture for maintainable and scalable systems.
• Some exposure to data handling, including databases and ML model outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software applications that integrate data and ML functionalities.
• Develop APIs and services for internal users to access data and ML capabilities.
• Collaborate with data engineers for seamless integration of data and application layers.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and monitor application performance.
• Participate in design and code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Evolve prototypes into reliable, well-tested products.

Skills

• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Familiarity with data tools like Dagster, Snowflake, or dbt is a plus.
• Cloud experience, preferably with Azure.
• Basic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to applications powered by large language models (LLMs) is advantageous.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.

Tools

• Python, CI/CD tools, API development frameworks, data pipeline tools.
