Software Engineer (Data & ML Applications, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves developing software applications that leverage data and machine learning to enhance user experiences. You will work within a cross-functional team to create decision-support tools and operational dashboards, ensuring seamless integration of data pipelines and ML model outputs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in building and deploying data-driven software applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python and solid understanding of software engineering principles, including testing and CI/CD.
• Experience in developing APIs or backend services that interact with data systems.
• Familiarity with application architecture and design for maintainability and scalability.
• Some exposure to data handling, including databases and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade software applications that integrate data and ML components.
• Develop clean APIs and services to expose data and ML capabilities to users.
• Collaborate with data engineers for smooth integration between data and application layers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and application monitoring systems.
• Participate in design and code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Evolve prototypes into reliable, well-tested products.

Skills

• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Familiarity with data tools such as Dagster, Snowflake, or dbt is advantageous.
• Cloud experience, preferably with Azure.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
