Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with COBOL and developing complex or business-critical systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting, testing, and quality assurance throughout the development process.
• Understanding of integrations, databases, APIs, and batch processes.
• Interest in Java and modernization of legacy systems; experience with Java is a plus.
• A pragmatic and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Relevant educational background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance business-critical COBOL solutions.
• Investigate and analyze complex dependencies, integrations, and operational requirements.
• Ensure high quality and stability through testing, code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvements.
• Identify opportunities and technical dependencies for modernization and migration from COBOL to Java.
• Collaborate and share knowledge with the team, contributing to long-term technical direction.
