Software Architect (Defence, Aarhus)

Job summary

The role involves shaping the architecture of software used in combat operations, focusing on distributed systems and network communication. You will collaborate with a team of architects to design and implement new features for mobile defence software products, ensuring usability and resilient communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience as a Software Architect.
• Experience in product development and maintenance, with a strong grasp of software architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve distributed systems and network communication patterns (APIs, protocols, integration points).
• Collaborate with teams during development to meet product and system requirements.
• Ensure new product releases meet software quality attributes such as security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive initiatives to enhance team efficiency and code quality.
• Work on end-to-end solutions across product verticals, ensuring coherence in overall architecture.

Skills

• Proficiency in modern object-oriented languages and frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular).
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, clean code, design patterns, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of network communication, including protocols and resilience in degraded networks.
• Experience with cross-platform development (Windows, Android, Linux).
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Education

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or similar.

Tools

• Familiarity with modern development tools and methodologies relevant to software architecture.
