Senior Test Engineer

Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Tester to join a SaaS-based advisory platform team focused on financial services. This role emphasizes quality assurance and continuous improvement, ensuring that new features and enhancements meet high standards before delivery.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Tester, Technical Tester, or Test Engineer
• Strong manual testing skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality software
• Familiarity with test management tools, preferably TestRail
• Experience in planning and executing testing activities for software releases
• Knowledge of API testing and automated testing practices
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams
• A structured and pragmatic approach to testing
• ISTQB Foundation certification or similar is a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and coordinate testing activities across the platform
• Conduct manual testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Define, maintain, and expand automated tests as necessary
• Take ownership of testing activities related to releases
• Evaluate the testability of new features and solutions
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and tools
• Maintain test assets within TestRail and assist with migration initiatives
• Collaborate with developers and Business Analysts to identify risks and quality improvements
• Contribute to a structured and scalable testing setup across the platform
• Support root cause analysis and incorporate lessons learned into future releases

Skills

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Jenkins, Java, REST APIs, Postman, Atlassian JIRA, GIT, Elasticsearch/Kibana, IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse, JProfiler or similar profiling tools is advantageous

Education

• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Foundation or similar are preferred

Tools

• TestRail, Jenkins, GIT, and various testing and development tools relevant to the role
