Senior Software/Data Engineer

Job summary

The role involves working with data engineering and platform development within a financial crime prevention context. The position is based in Copenhagen and focuses on building and improving data products and automated processes to enhance financial crime prevention capabilities.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related roles.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and Spark, with a strong background in production data pipelines and data models.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Kafka, Snowflake, and Azure.
• Experience in supporting machine learning workflows and production workloads, including CI/CD and containerization.
• Knowledge of data security practices and compliance in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance reusable AML data products and data-modelling components.
• Design and implement ETL pipelines for various use cases.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts on AML-related initiatives.
• Establish automated checks for data integrity and governance.
• Manage observability and operational resilience for critical data assets.
• Conduct design and code reviews to elevate engineering standards.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English for technical and non-technical audiences.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Experience with data quality validation tools is a plus.
