Senior Signalling Engineer

Job summary

The role involves engineering, coordination, verification, and delivery of documentation and data within the Signalling Engineering team. The position is based in Copenhagen and requires collaboration with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Railway, or similar)
• 5–10+ years of experience in railway signalling engineering; ETCS experience is a strong advantage
• Solid experience with technical documentation and engineering processes
• Familiarity with signalling design, engineering data, and CENELEC standards
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CAD tools and/or Visio
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

Responsibilities

• Drive the signalling engineering scope and ensure timely delivery of documentation
• Prepare and review technical documentation and engineering data
• Lead and coordinate signalling engineering activities
• Support engineering of ETCS and interlocking data
• Conduct site and signalling surveys
• Collaborate in cross-functional meetings and technical reviews
• Resolve defects and technical issues related to documentation
• Act as a key technical interface towards stakeholders
• Support installation teams and documentation handover
• Mentor and train junior engineers
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes
