Job summary

This role involves working within a Platform Chemistry team to advance peptide chemistry and integrate AI-driven drug discovery. The Senior Scientist will focus on delivering macrocyclic peptide libraries for drug discovery projects while enhancing laboratory workflows and platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of industry experience in peptide chemistry, macrocycles, or related synthetic chemistry in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
• Strong practical skills in peptide synthesis, purification, and analytical techniques, including experience with automated laboratory instruments.
• Proven ability to independently plan, execute, and troubleshoot complex experimental workflows.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team collaboration and relationship building.
• Strong scientific judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Proactive and motivated to improve scientific outcomes and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage Platform Chemistry activities across multiple discovery projects, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
• Plan and execute complex peptide synthesis workflows and produce macrocyclic libraries.
• Troubleshoot scientific challenges and provide technical expertise for robust experimental outcomes.
• Identify and implement improvements in synthetic methodologies, laboratory automation, and platform workflows.
• Collaborate with Design and Data Science teams to align computational designs with synthetic feasibility and platform capabilities.
• Advocate for experimental insights to inform AI-driven molecule design and platform development.

Education
