Job summary

This role involves hands-on experience in fermentation, downstream processing, and food-grade production within an industrial R&D setting. The position is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on developing innovative enzyme solutions for food and industrial applications.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Bioprocess Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
• Strong interest in fermentation, bioprocessing, and industrial R&D
• Curiosity and passion for learning and technical development
• Enjoyment of laboratory work and practical problem-solving
• Structured, proactive, and organized work approach
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to collaborate in an international, cross-functional environment

Responsibilities

• Conduct fermentation and downstream processing activities at various scales
• Produce food-grade samples for internal projects and stakeholder needs
• Plan and execute production activities within the fermentation platform
• Support operation and maintenance of fermentation processes and equipment
• Manage laboratory equipment, consumables, and inventory
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with international R&D project teams and Quality functions
• Contribute to troubleshooting and process optimization
• Gradually take ownership of key fermentation operations

Skills

• Previous experience in fermentation, microbiology, or bioprocessing through studies or internships
• Knowledge of food-grade production and quality systems
• Innovative thinking and creative problem-solving abilities

Education

• MSc degree in a relevant scientific field

• Laboratory equipment and software relevant to fermentation and bioprocessing
