Job summary

The role involves managing the complete onboarding process for new clients in the Netherlands and Belgium, ensuring successful payroll implementations. You will collaborate with clients, internal teams, and payroll software providers, leveraging your expertise in local payroll legislation and processes.

Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on payroll experience in the Netherlands, with knowledge of loonheffing, premies WW/ZW/WIA, Zorgverzekeringswet, and the 30% ruling.
  • Significant payroll experience in Belgium, including ONSS/RSZ, Dimona, DmfA quarterly cycles, and sector CLA structures.
  • Proven track record in payroll implementation, managing projects from client kick-off to go-live.
  • Familiarity with AFAS for Dutch payroll and EasyPay for Belgian payroll is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying payroll processes to clients and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with payroll reconciliations and parallel run validation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for payroll in the Netherlands and Belgium.
  • Participate in sales calls and client handover meetings.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor payroll implementation projects for timely delivery.
  • Manage the process from inception through parallel runs and the first month of live payroll.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of implementation choices and configurations.
  • Develop and uphold detailed project plans and timelines.
  • Act as the primary contact for stakeholders during implementations.
  • Input and validate data in payroll software (AFAS and EasyPay).
  • Create standardized payroll processes and procedures for efficiency.
  • Mentor Payroll Generalists during implementations.
  • Focus on KPIs and SLAs throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the payroll platform and document changes.

Education

  • Relevant experience in payroll management and implementation.

  • AFAS, EasyPay, and other payroll software.
