Qualifications

  • Degree in Naval Architecture with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in ship design or maritime research.
  • Familiarity with container vessel design, including statutory compliance and structural design.
  • Strong technical foundation with experience in engineering projects from concept to execution.
  • Proactive mindset and ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the design and performance of the container vessel fleet.
  • Lead engineering projects ensuring timely delivery and adherence to technical standards.
  • Provide technical input and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Engage in long-term strategic initiatives and fast-paced technical projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers, shipyards, and external partners.
  • Foster a culture of proactivity and shared ownership within teams.

Skills

  • Experience with container lashing systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of classification societies and maritime regulatory environments is a plus.
  • Experience in mentoring or coordinating the work of other engineers is beneficial.

Education

  • Degree in Naval Architecture.

Tools

  • Familiarity with engineering design tools and software relevant to naval architecture.
