Job summary

This role involves supporting a global fleet of container vessels, focusing on decarbonisation and innovative vessel design. The position is based in Copenhagen and requires collaboration with project managers and engineers across various disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Naval Architecture with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in ship design or maritime research.
  • Experience in vessel design, including statutory compliance, structural design, or stability.
  • Solid technical foundation with experience in engineering projects from concept to execution.
  • Familiarity with ship newbuilding or major conversion projects from various perspectives, including technical specifications and plan approval.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Improve the design and performance of the container vessel fleet.
  • Lead and deliver engineering projects on time and to high technical standards.
  • Act as a technical authority and subject matter expert.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and design reviews with various stakeholders.
  • Provide technical input and engineering recommendations for decision-making.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and technical projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers, shipyards, and external partners.
  • Foster a proactive culture with shared ownership.

Skills

Education

  • Degree in Naval Architecture.

Tools

  • Knowledge of container vessel lashing systems, outfitting, hull structure, and accommodation design is advantageous.
