Job summary

The role involves taking technical ownership of mechanical design for laser products and related subsystems, engaging in hands-on development from concept to manufacturing. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Over 5 years of experience in pressure mechanics or industrial high-tech equipment
  • Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably in SolidWorks
  • Experience with opto-mechanical systems or laser products is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical development throughout the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with engineers on concept development and prototyping
  • Manage defined work packages within product development projects
  • Design precision mechanical and opto-mechanical components, including 3D models and 2D drawings
  • Support prototype assembly, functional testing, and product qualification
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and contribute to manufacturing release
  • Work with suppliers to identify cost-effective manufacturing solutions

Skills

  • Strong competence in design for reliability and manufacturability
  • Knowledge of mechanical design standards for CNC machined and sheet metal parts
  • Hands-on skills with manufacturing methods and 3D printing
  • Familiarity with PLM/Vault systems and Microsoft tools
  • Expertise in finite element analysis and thermal flow simulations
  • Well-developed analytical abilities for problem-solving

Education

  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
