Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job summary

We are seeking a senior mechanical engineer to contribute to the development of hearing instruments, focusing on mechanical PCB design and integration with electronic components. This role involves collaboration with PCB layout teams and production facilities to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure high-quality product development.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical development and design for medical or small consumer electronic devices.
• Familiarity with mechanical design and hardware integration of electronics (PCBs, connectors, batteries, etc.).
• Knowledge of robust design principles (tolerance stack-up, DFM, DFA).
• Proficiency in PTC Creo 3D CAD and 2D specifications.
• Interest or experience in electronic development and miniaturization.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical PCB models in collaboration with PCB layout and mechanical teams.
• Create custom components for hearing instruments.
• Support production facilities in resolving PCB assembly issues.
• Optimize manufacturing processes and tolerances.
• Contribute to the competence development of the department by defining internal processes and ensuring knowledge sharing among developers.

Skills

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to guide mechanical developers and plan project activities.
• Experience with agile product development methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline.

Tools

• PTC Creo 3D CAD, GPS, and related mechanical engineering tools.
